Lunch with Kim

Well i forgot to mention the lunch i had with Kim, Ella, Ty, Miss R, Mom and Dad..... It was really nice to meet Miss R. and to see Ella and Ty.

I also forgot to say that i had to keep Kim company while Ella was out to a movie. She didn't get home until 10:30.... Kim was up worried sick about her... =)

well that is for you Kimmer...... i would of put it in the 1st post but since you all left without saying bye to me or waiting for me to finish when i was talking to my friend i didn't think you were showing me the LOVE....

a weekend apart.... CHEAP GAS

Well I wrote a long post last night but my Internet went down so it didn't save everything....

This was our first weekend to not be together since we have been married. We both enjoyed having tons of room in a bed again but we sure did miss being together this weekend. It was just weird not seeing each other.... I am just glad that is not a norm because after two years of LDR (long distance relationships) it has been so nice to be able to see each other every night. . .

It was a fun weekend for me as i got to go spend time with Mom and Dad as they started their diets. They were doing so good!! so keep up the good work.

I also got to see Kim and Kathy and their families. During half time of the OSU game Jarrett, Nathan and myself went out to the field by their house and played a little baseball. It was so fun to watch Nathan hit the ball and run the make believe bases. I totally remember doing that when i was a kid except we had to use a tennis ball and not a real baseball.

I think the best part of my weekend was the cheap gas i found in Sherman, Tx. On the way up I stopped at a station for $2.15 that had REAL GAS not the corn crap all of the stations feed us now and on the way back I filled up for an amazing $2.02 at the same station. Talk about a sweet deal!!!!! I hope it keeps going down here in DFW. DFW is still at $2.22- $2.40.

Well that is about it for me, maybe my wife will make a post about her weekend since we were apart...

Weekend Update

Well this weekend seemed to busy but we really didn't do a whole lot, so here it goes....

Thursday Night we went to Arlington to watch Liz's cousins Volleyball game and then went to the #24 TCU vs #9 BYU game...TCU won so that was awesome

Friday Liz and a few of her friends went to the Texas State Fair (see pic below)

After work for me and after the Fair for Liz we met up in Arlington to start the weekend of house sitting. Friday night we went out to Ft. Worth for a friends Birthday Party. It was a great time and it was nice to actually do something on a Friday night. Saturday we picked up my friend Adam at the airport, went back to the apartment, found a new favorite BBQ place (called Hard Eight) and went back to Arlington for a fun day of watching Football. Oh and Liz's car had a check engine light on so we got it checked and she needs a new catalytic converter. Called the Volvo dealership said it was about a $2000 repair..... or i can just put premium gas in it for a while and it should clean it out. (i chose the nice gas).

Saturday night Liz made from scratch some Pumpkin Cookies.... i have to admit i have a pretty good little chef as my wife.....

Sunday started off Lazy just like i like it.... Liz has two test and a project so she headed off to Ft Worth to Study and I hung out with her folks and watched the Cowboys game. After the game I headed home and met up with my old roommate Buddy and went to Church.

So that is my weekend update sorry it wasn't as funny as SNL weekend update this weekend.

Have a great week, Until next time....

Sad weekend....

Before/ During the first half....

After. We are sore losers....

Well many of you know Liz and I have been working out at LA Fitness. My trainer made us go on Saturday morning to BOOT CAMP..... It started late so while we were waiting my trainer Q. decided to give us a free work out before boot camp. (Bad Idea).... Well after boot camp we were off to watch the #1 Sooners take on the longhorns.... We went over to a sports bar in Lower Greenville with a bunch of friends that were down for the weekend. The game was great until Texas started kicking our butts. At least it was a fun game to watch and OU only dropped to #4 in the polls. Saturday to drown our sorrows we went to the best Cupcake Store in the world. Seriously nothing beats Sprinkles. I made us eat the last two OU Sooner red velvet cupcakes. For some reason they had more Longhorns cupcakes then Sooners cupcakes after the game.

Well we have decided to start training for a race. It is hard to workout just for fun, so we have decided to train for the Cowtown 5 K in February. So if any of you want to join us in the run you have plenty of time to start training. 138 days actually. If you don't want to run in it you should come watch us.

Boomer Sooner!!!

LAYOFF....#4

Well today marks the 4th layoff since February 2007. I somehow surived another round. So that is a huge blessing.....

After each layoff all my builder buddies and I say they cant get any smaller... but we were all wrong. They laid 15 builders off (1/3 of all builders), gave our Divison Managers a demotion, and laid off some more office staff. I just hate when they do the layoffs it just makes me sick to my stomach and it makes me really appreciate my job.

On a brighter note.... Liz and I used some gift cards and wedding money and bought a Wii on Sunday. It was fun to spend money on something fun instead of China, Crystal, or random kitchen supplies.

This weekend we also took a road trip to Waco and watched the mighty sooners.

Well I hope all is going well,

Steve
