here are my ticket options.... what would you guys do

1) Pay the $180 and it goes on my record

2) Pay $195 and go on probation for 90 days and it does NOT go on my record

or 3) Pay a court fee of $107 and have to take a $25- six hour defensive driving course and it doesn't go on my record.

Stupid Tickets

I think I must have a record of getting stupid traffic tickets....

Here is my rundown of stupid tickets

1) age 17... first time mom and dad let me drive outside of Tulsa. Speeding coming back from Stillwater with 6 high school kids in the car. The speed limit dropped like 10 miles an hour and I didn't see it or something.

2) Parking in a yard at a OU football game my freshman year, I paid the frat house to park there because OU likes to sell the student parking on gamedays.

3) Sophomore year of college. Parking backwards with one tire on the line of a handicap spot at my apartment when i was moving out. My trunk and doors were wide open and I was taking loads out to the car and inbetween loads I got a $60 parking ticket.

4) Jr year of college. Not coming to a complete stop at a stop sign and pulling out in front of a cop... stupid me

5) Summer after I graduated college, the one time I actaully got out of a ticket only because it was a day away from my birthday. Got clocked speeding by an airplane on I-35 and the one car they pulled over was ME, not the semi truck that was flying by me or the other million cars that passed me that day...

6) and then today I get pulled over for going straight from one side to the other side of a 4 lane road in The Colony, Texas. The issue was that it was posted right turn only. So I am the lucky guy that got pulled over and ticketed for "Disregard Traffic Control Device." Awesome i love paying $180 tickets for crossing the road with no traffic with in a 1/4 mile of me...... Must be a slow crime day....

if you want to contribute to the pay Steve Miller stupid traffic tickets fund just let me know

sick sick sick

Well this week at the SMiller compound. We both have been battling the sick bug. It is the first time we have been sick together as a married couple, pretty cute huh? HAHA Well we really don't have any fun news to blog about, Liz is finishing up her last few weeks of school and hunting for a Job, and I am just working. Dude is still loves his walks, trips to the dog parks, meeting new friends and playing fetch for hours in our apartment. So that is pretty much all that we have been doing.

-Anybody been watching idol? This year is really good some weeks and then some weeks it is just awful. Who do y'all like?

Hope you guys have a great Easter Weekend!!

Britney and the Circus that follows her....

Well the Britney Spears show was last night and I have to say it was quite the show.... i guess i will start from the beginning of the night.....we get over to the American Airlines Center (AAC) and pay our $20 for parking and walk into the AAC. At this point Liz and I and way OVER dress if you know what i mean.....I don't think the AAC has ever had this many gay guys and skanky girls in it other than a Jonas Brother Concert. Our Tickets were in a suite so we make the journey to the suite and we walk in...... As we walk in we are greeted by ummmm 20 High school sophomore girls. Were we a little out of place? YES... so i guess the girl that greeted us dad owned this suite and gave away four tickets so he could write it off on his Taxes. So we sit down by the other couple who won tickets and they were really awkward and felt just as out of place as we were. Well the high school girls say all the food and drinks are free except for no beer or alcohol because they are underage and her dad wouldn't pay for it. Which is fair enough. right? well these little girls had some bottles of whiskey, vodka, and opened the bottle of wine that was in the suite. The suite attendant busted them and took away all of there booze. It was like the air was let out of their balloon and their party was over. Then they sneak in some wiggers (if you don't know what a wigger is, don't ask) boys from their high school and their party started again and some how more booze got in. Busted again by the suite attended. HAHA

As we were waiting for the show to start we were walking around and we run into Kidd Kraddick. Kidd is the Ryan Seacrest of Dallas radio. Liz's favorite morning radio show.

Well the opening act comes out and it is the Pussy Cat Dolls.... which they sang their 5-6 hit songs and then the weirdness starts. Britney's theme of her Tour is Circus and the stage is set up as a 3 ring circus. Different circus act perform and then the show starts..... Girls are screaming and the music starts. The show was actually very entertaining and kinda good. She runs around, dances, lip sings and changes clothes a lot. We agreed to live at 10:30pm so we could get home by 11:30. And of course at 10:30 she starts to sing the songs that we knew. Toxic, Hit Me baby one more time, i am slave....etc so we stayed for a little longer and then decide to leave to get home to our dog and so Liz could finish packing for her trip to Austin today. As we were leaving the suite attendant was talking to his boss about suite 1305 and the underage girls. I am kinda glad we left early and it was nice to get out with NO TRAFFIC (i am turning into Dad =) )

So overall it was a Circus for sure but we had a good time and some stories to look back on.

*and on another note.... how does someone like her that has been through everything she has sell out a huge arena night after night..... I dont get it but whatever

Britney and BBQ?

Well today was just one of the funny days where weird stuff happens.....

So at work I deal with some strange people that have weird requests and somehow this request worked out for me... So this homeowner for some reason didn't like his $2000+ outdoor BBQ grill.... somehow he worked his way all the way up to some VP of Sales of the company that supplies my grill supplier. The crazy part of that is that I had no idea that he was even doing all of that and one day he told me that i need to fix his grill. So today i finally had the guys and materials to do it. I called the Sales guy and asked him what he was going to do with this old grill and he just told me to take it.... So I just got hooked with a very expensive grill for a house that i don't have.... YET! (but we are starting to look).... so that is pretty exciting
Here is a picture of the grill.

but then the crazy part of the day really started to happen....

Last Monday Liz and I really didn't want to cook so we decide to go to this local Tex Mex place in Flower Mound. The host asked us if we wanted to register for the Britney Spears tickets.... we said sure why not... we joked at dinner and said we would probably win freaking Britney Spears tickets.... we never win anything but today i get a call from a Spanish woman asking for Elizabeth Miller... i say this is her husband can i help you.... she goes.... well this is Pollo Salsa and you won the Britney Spears Tickets.... I couldn't believe it...

So this coming Tuesday my wife and I will be in a suite at the AAC watching Britney Spears....
Dont be too jealous of us...

The Dude

So its been a while, and I know you are all dying to see more pictures of the cutest dog in the world.... as you can see he is a chewer!

HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!!!!!!!! I hope you all were able to enjoy some green beer, or made some homemade green beer like my good buddy Kelsey (Martha Stewart Style)!

In honor of the Irish, Steven and I enjoyed $2 Sushi and (American) Beer at The Fish with some friends.  Steven, has added so many new foods to his dining repertoire in the past few months! Vegetables, fruits, salads (as a meal, not a side!), fish, sushi and cccchhhhocolate just to name a few.  However, I think I need to get Karen's recipe for black spaghetti to really put him to the test!

Off to watch the DVR.... gotta love spring break :o)

Grocery Store Domination

Well being on a somewhat limited single income budget we have to do a lot of grocery store shopping. Some people make fun of me (my wife) for clipping coupons and having a coupon folder. But this weekend we dominated Tom Thumb and Krogers. We were getting low on a bunch of things and the deals were good, so Liz and I wrote a list and got on a mission. 1st stop was Tom Thumb and for under $50 we got things like Tide, a roast, fruit, veggies eggs, and much more for a total of 48% off. But Krogers we bought 38 items and had a coupon for almost everything and our total went from $119 to $58 for another 48% savings ($1.5 a item avg). The teenage boy at the register even complimented me about how much i saved. His words were "dang, that is some crazy savings"..... and I was thinking about all of the stuff i got for free or under a buck.....

So every once in a while in the coupon clipping world you have a good weekend and i felt proud so i felt like sharing it to yall......
